EXPLORATION IN FORM
Here are some of the experiments i did to showcase the artistic avenues for 3D creation. Most of these were created for my instagram @rileythompsonanimation
GAUSSIAN SPLATS
A quick and exciting format for 3D reproduction. Using PostShot, Scaniverse and many other new forms of software I’ve been able to attain some interesting 3D spaces. I was able to find some terrible quality footage of one of my favorite movies “The Dark Crystal” and re create the Skesis Castle interior in Gaussian splats.
WHITE BLOOD CELL RESPONSE
Medical projects are often some of my favorite to create. Most often the rendered are pretty covered by NDA’s and I am unable to show them off, but here’s one I’m allowed to host.
I created this music video after spending too much time staring at an inflatable waving arm man in front of a business. I wondered what other context you could place something this ridiculous in that would some how make it feel serious and ominous. With some fun texturing and environment creation this is what I ended up with.
NOCTURNE by VENXM
I was able to create this quick ad spot for Apple showcasing the IPhone 15. It was never used commercially but I had a lot of fun messing with textures on this one.
